This project explores rare diseases through personal experience and graphic storytelling. Witnessing family members and peers living with rare conditions revealed how commonly such illnesses exist, yet how little they are understood. In response, this project develops a booklet that translates selected rare diseases and related research into clear visual narratives, produced in dialogue with the ISTD brief. By combining information design and typographic experimentation, the publication aims to increase visibility and understanding, challenging notions of rarity and encouraging empathy. Ultimately, the project positions graphic communication as a tool for awareness, care and social connection.
